In Shimkent there were at once opened two new institutions, the equipment level of which doesn’t have any analogues in Kazakhstan. They are: the Center of Blood and the Center of Sterilization. This evening Nursultan Nazarbayev visited these centers. A quality of Public Health has become a key theme of the President’s business trip journey to the South-Kazakhstan oblast.
The President gave a commission to build a modern center of blood. The sum, assigned for it was more than one and a half billion tenge. Equipment is American and French. It makes it possible to automatize maximally the whole process of reception, checking and transfusion of blood. For each donor here will be set up a special electronic passport, by which it will be possible to track all his history at any moment. Also the new system has to insure against various forgeries that were admitted in the oblast before. As for specialists, they have already had a study course abroad. Marat Daumenov, a director of the Center of Blood:
– According to recommendation of WHO, for 1000-men population, 40 men must be donors. For a given moment for 1000-men population less than 7 men are donors. That is why the Center will fully satisfy blood needs in the oblast.
Expenses for public health increased in some times. Just in this year more than forty-two with a half billion tenge was assigned for needs of medicine. It is almost a third of the oblast budget. Just within the bounds of the President’s program “100 schools and 100 hospitals” here will be either raised new objects of public health. Besides them: a new maternity hospital, a center of cardiosurgery, a new oblast children hospital and several regional ones are under construction in the south. In addition to that the majority of active public health institutions are capitally repairing now. Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of RK:
– Public Health, health of nation – is one of the main priorities of the country. In the last years country’s expenses for public health are increased in several times. The sum, assigned for the objects of public health, has never been so solid. The most principle thing is that the hospitals are provided with new equipment, physicians get training in West clinics, 67 buildings are in the phase of construction under the program “100 schools and 100 hospitals”. Everything will be carried out. The first in the Republic specialized Center of Medical Instruments Sterilization has become a pride of Shimkent medics. They say, it has no equal not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the whole post-soviet territory. Value of this Center exceeds one billion tenge too. The major part of the money was used for purchase of modern Italian equipment.
