A meeting of agency's college under chairmanship of Zhaksylyk Doskaliyev was held today in Astana.
All heads of structural subdivisions of the Ministry, public health oblast agencies and other constituent structures of medical part, participated in the meeting.
The Minister emphasized in his report a number of important priority goals, particularly problems of maternal and children's mortality and tuberculosis and cardiovascular morbidity.
In addition, on the meeting of college the Head of the Ministry of Public Health of RK noted that from January 1, 2009 it will be necessary to adopt an integrated system of medicines distribution.
According to the Minister of Public Health, 90% of medicines of Kazakhstan are being supplied from other countries. At the same time a problem of pricing is being arisen. About 60–70% of means are being spent for medicines purchases. In connection with it little money remains for remuneration and other needs.
“We have to overcome this situation for making our prices accessible. And the most important – it is necessary to guarantee appropriate quality of being purchased products, which will be supplied from a factory of origin” – pointed out Zhaksylyk Doskaliyev.
